As you all know I have been trying to settle upon the best way to mount my nanoFLASH on my Sony PMW-EX3 / Protech ST-7 Shoulder mount rig since I got it! To be more precise I really wanted to mount the nanoFLASH on the back of my IDX Endura 10 Batteries. I know that [...]
There is no doubt that Sony’s XDCAM EX Solid State Media is going from strength to strength. In the earlier days of the format you could only purchase Sony SxS Pro Memory Cards in 8GB or 16GB sizes and with the introduction of the PMW-EX3 the Sony PHU-60K 60GB HDD Recorder but now the choice [...]
Since I purchased the Protech ST-7 I have been having a growing need to purchase more Sony VCT-14 Tripod Plates which retail at a staggering £300.00 each. Expensive but beautiful! Since I didn’t want to pay quite that much I opted to order the slightly cheaper Sony VCT-U14 Tripod which retails at £250.00 each.

I have spent that last two weeks setting up my newsletter subscription on my blog. It’s really easy to subscribe and just as easy to unsubscribe, which you can do at anytime! There are two ways to subscribe to the newsletter!
Well this is my first post of 2010 so I’d just like to kick it off by saying Happy New Year to you all! This is one of my favourite poems by Robert Burns called Auld Lang Syne.
I was over at Alister Chapman’s Blog aka XDCAM-USER.com today and came across his latest post entitled ‘Alister’s XDCAM Product of the Year 2009’. For Alister it was a toss between; the Sony PMW-EX1r, the nanoFLASH and the NextoDI NVS2500. I have to agree that these are three formidable products to be in the running. [...]
Even after a year after the release of the Sony PMW-EX3, I am still inundated with emails asking if I use my array of Nikon Lenses with my PMW-EX3. So I am republishing an article I wrote for my old blog ‘Paul Inglis Media Web Journal’ which was aptly entitled ‘Putting a Nikon Super Telephoto [...]
