There is no doubt that Sony’s XDCAM EX Solid State Media is going from strength to strength. In the earlier days of the format you could only purchase Sony SxS Pro Memory Cards in 8GB or 16GB sizes and with the introduction of the PMW-EX3 the Sony PHU-60K 60GB HDD Recorder but now the choice [...] Since I purchased the Protech ST-7 I have been having a growing need to purchase more Sony VCT-14 Tripod Plates which retail at a staggering £300.00 each. Expensive but beautiful! Since I didn’t want to pay quite that much I opted to order the slightly cheaper Sony VCT-U14 Tripod which retails at £250.00 each. I have been looking for a mount that can place the nanoFLASH on my IDX ENDURA-10 Batteries. I think I’ve finally found it!!! Take a look at the Instruction Manual for the IDX A-MWR Universal Wireless Receiver Mounting Bracket. I have been in search of a good shoulder mount for my Sony PMW-EX3 ever since I got the camera way back in September 2008.
